History of The Trilogy School
- The Trilogy School was established in 1999 by Judy Williams, M.A.T, M.S.A. and Laura Wyatt, PhD to educate students with learning differences. It grew out of the work the two had done with Triangle Learning Consultants, an educational tutoring service that offered support in all subject areas, SAT preparation, and a Homework Management Program. Triangle Learning Consultants is now merged with The Trilogy School and still offers afternoon tutoring.
- Trilogy School is a private school affiliated with the North Carolina Department of Non-Public Education. It has been accredited since 2007 by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, AdvancEd, and now Cognia. Faculty members have a background in learning disabilities, special education, reading, their content, many with NC certification, advanced degrees, or LD certification.
- Trilogy began with sixteen students and four teachers and now maintains a small student body of 50-75 students to ensure that all can receive individualized attention. As it celebrates its 23rd school year, it remains committed to providing small-group instruction and differentiated learning to ensure the academic success of all students.
